While most of the focus is drawn towards big players, the youth are also expected to make heads turn and hog the limelight in this upcoming auction.

From Nehal Wadhera to Angkrish Raghuvanshi, the 2025 IPL auction is bound to showcase a substantial chunk of rich uncapped talent from India’s domestic arena who can very well be on their way to becoming the next big names in world cricket.

In this article, we will focus on five uncapped youngsters from India’s domestic setup and delve deeper into their past records in IPL to better understand how they can become a major asset to any team ahead of the mega auction.

1. Nehal Wadhera

The Ludhiana-born Nehal Wadhera has been a handy commodity for Mumbai Indians (MI) and has served them for a year. Wadhera averages nearly 24 in the IPL and has two fifty-plus scores to his name. Moreover, he strikes the ball quite well and maintains a commendable strike rate in excess of 140 both in the IPL as well as domestic T20.

The 24-year-old has played some impactful cameos for MI, especially during the middle phases of the game. He is someone who bats well in the middle order and offers a swift acceleration through the middle overs.

Although he looked off-colour last season averaging below 20, Wadhera has demonstrated his appetite to churn runs in crunch situations for his side. In addition, he has a few overs under his belt in T20 cricket and can also be utilised as a part-time spin-bowling option.

Outside of the longest format, Kamboj is a skillful operator in T20 cricket. As far as his domestic record suggests, the 23-year-old averages nearly 21 and has a killer strike rate of almost 15 with the ball.

Making his debut with MI last season, it is still early days for Kamboj in franchise cricket. But on the back of some impressive outings in domestic cricket, those days are not far away when we might see him unleash his fury on the batters.
